How do i find the value of a bottle of pear brandy that is 36 yrs old?

How do i find the value of a bottle of pear brandy that is 36 yrs old?
First of all, you need to ascertain its condition. If it has been properly stored, was in darkness and consistent temperatures that do not get too high or fluctuate too much. If the bottle is in good shape, unopened, and there is no leakage around the seal, that's a good start.
Is the brandy a vintage product - does it have a year on the label that it was produced? This often makes it more valuable.
Now you can do a search on the web for the brandy, stating the manufacturer's name (and year if available) and the actual name of the product. If it is a well-known product, you will likely find it that way.
Alternatively, you could always contact the maker. They will probably be happy to help.
Reply:Throw it into the air and watch it go.... smash..... now thats priceless... You can't put a price on that. We only live once.. now thats feeling
Reply:That may make it priceless, but only because it no longer has value. I would like to know the answer to this question, too.
If you cannot find a value, give it as a gift to someone who can appreciate it. That's priceless!

What consists of the perfect pear or hourglas shape ?
i was just wonderinggggggg cause i have been told i was shaped like and hourglass, pear , all that stuff lol
What consists of the perfect pear or hourglas shape ?
I don't know about the exact measurements but as long as your top and bottom are pretty much proportional and your natural waist indents; that's an hourglass.
Reply:An hour glass figure has the same measurement across the bust as the hips and goes in at the waist, ie 36-26-36.
A pear shape is smaller across the bust than the hips and goes in at the waist, ie 36-26-38.
HTH : )
Reply:36 on top 24 in the middle 36 around the hips or at least that is what I have heard is "perfect" but seriously everyone is different and if you are happy with your body then you are perfect!

Can rabbits eat pear as a treat?
Yes. Treat Foods - In a total (of combined foods) amount of 1 heaped tablespoons per 1kg rabbit, you can give the following foods: Strawberries, papaya, pineapple, apple, pear, melon, raspberries, blueberries, apple pear, mango, peach, pear, or tomato. Dried fruits may be used as an alternative to the fresh listed above but use half the amount.
Can rabbits eat pear as a treat?
yes you can but don't give a lot just a vary small peace.
Reply:Rabbits shouldn't eat the pear seeds. Neither should they have apple or stone-fruit seeds; they have cyanide poisons.
Reply:not very much or none at all, stick to normal treats, rabbits are not like kids they really do like eating the same thing day in and day out.
Reply:Yes got to www.hsus.org for its a good website that tells all about the care of rabbits. I have 2 bunnies a albino female and her name is Bunny and 1 male Lop eared whose name is Precious.Love them both and they are so affectionate.Mine roam free in their own Bunny enclosure in a bunny proof room. And My CAT simply adores the bunnies although the white female dominates the cat as well as the other rabbit. Enjoy the love of a bunny
Reply:Only fresh, not canned. Too sugary! Dried is good too. And only a teensy piece. Give it timothy hay. They LOVE timothy hay.
Reply:very Small like 10/10 some thing like that my mom toll me
Reply:Yes as an occational treat but don't do it too often because it will make their poop runny. (sorry to be gross, but it's true) Your rabbit may not even like it, mine doesn't, but it's worth a try so give him a little. It doesn't hurt. The only fruit to stay away from is bananas because they can cause digestive problems.
Reply:Only a very small amount...like 1/10 of the pear a day. It is very watery and might give the bunny diarrhoea

I have a pear shaped body and i'm trying to lose weight, any suggestions?
i have really big hips and backside but skinny from my waist up. any suggestions on how lose these humps and bumps?
I have a pear shaped body and i'm trying to lose weight, any suggestions?
You'll even out a bit as you start to lose weight. I lost 30 pounds in about 3 months by working out about 5 times a week (swimming, working on the elliptical machine, doing yoga) and eating a healthy diet. That means, I actually eat 5-9 servings of fruits and veggies most days (some days I eat out and don't do as well). I also fill my plate up once, with a small but reasonable serving of whatever we are having. I eat pasta, spaghetti, mashed potatoes (with real butter), all kinds of veggies, chicken, hamburgers, ice cream, etc. I just try to keep a balanced diet. I've noticed that I'd rather eat a larger serving of chicken and skip a dinner roll. I also drink no sugar soda. If I go out and have a big meal once in a while, it's okay, I still slowly lose weight. I also find I don't want to eat as much because I know how much work it is to lose the weight.
I also weigh each morning. I didn't always lose weight (sometimes the scale goes up a bit), but I watched my weight drift down a pound a two each week. I stayed motivated at the end because even though I lost about 3 sizes, I didn't buy new clothes until I was at my goal weight.
Best of luck,
Catherine

I have bradford pear trees -when and how do you prune them to have them fill out more?
Heres the info- no bull!
Prune Before Spring
First, I must emphasize that the best time to prune is before warm weather sets in. Pruning is really a process of directing growth, that is, energy, in the ways you want it to go. So it's important to get it done in the winter, when all the tree's energy is still stored in the roots and the stems, waiting to be set loose by the coming of spring.
This also ensures that your tree gets a healthy head start: The pruning cuts you make will have a chance to begin healing before the arrival of the bugs and disease common in warm weather.
A good pruning cut starts at the collar of the branch.
Height Limitations
Next, when working with fruit trees, you should remember to think of yourself. You don't want to have to haul out a 20-foot ladder to pick your pears. So I recommend pruning your tree to a height of about 12 feet. This will also enable the use of a homeowner-grade — rather than commercial-grade — equipment for any spraying you may need to do.
Layered, Horizontal Branches
Within your 12 feet of fruit tree, you should prune with an eye for nice, layered branches. Remember, it's the horizontal branches that bear fruit, not the upright wood. Thus, effective fruit pruning will often entail some fairly dramatic cuts, especially to some of the larger vertical growth.
On a pear tree work toward creating three horizontal layers of branches — bottom, middle and top, each separated by about 30 to 36 inches. Also, each layer needs only about three or four branches, especially the lower layers, since more branches will tend to stunt the growth above them. And a final bit of common sense: Prune so that the tree is wider at the bottom layer than the top, which will prevent the top from shading out the bottom.
The cut should be made at an angle to help it shed water, then painted for protection.
A Good Cut
Really good pruning cut starts at the collar of the branch. Cut out from there at a slight angle so it can shed water. After three or four days, your final step will be to paint the pruning cuts to protect the exposed wood from both the cold, fungus and insects. The delay in painting will give the cambium layer — the layer of living cells between the wood and the bark — time to heal, adding protection.
This should help

I have bradford pear trees -when and how do you prune them to have them fill out more?
in the fall
Reply:Vernalization (production of flowers) takes place in summer....never prune it in summer....otherwise you'll lose tons of pears ...
Reply:I agree with Cute_blondie, however keep in mind to watch for weak trunk and branches because bradford pears have a tendency to become weak and to split. aim at branches that are unusally weak or dead as this will be detremental to the health of the tree.
Reply:The best time to prune would be during the dormant season. All limbs should be removed so that a small collar is left on the trunk. You don't want a flush cut per say as that leaves too much exposed wood to callus over. If you start at the top of the crotch of the branch and angle slightly outward as you cut down then you will leave the right amount of wound. Also painting the wound is not necessary. Just make a clean cut.
Reply:Are u pruning for fruit prod. Bradford pears have small fruits if any on them.. To prune for fruit. Do inside out.. Make a clean cut at the collar 1/4 inch from it. Cut at an angle also.. This provides space needed for wind and pollination.. Cutting for shade, prune 1/2 of new growth on terminal twigs.

Moonglow pear tree?
I just purchased and planted a moonglow pear tree..In reading on the internet about them it said area should be firebright resistant ...does anyone know what this means...Also when is the best time to prune this and what should i get to spray it with? Also how big do the pears get??
Moonglow pear tree?
I think you mean "fireblight". That is a devastating disease in where the leaves and stems of the plant looks as if it was burned. I think that the cure is Streptomiacine. Any good lawn and garden center will have this. They sell it for apple trees, they get the disease most often.
The best time to prune is after the winter. If you prune in fall, and have a rough winter, you will have to prune off the dieback anyways so do it in spring just before the plant leafs out.
I dont think you have to spray pear trees with too much of anything but if you want to spray for bugs, look at "Neem oil"
Speak to your county extension agent for the best thing in your area. I dont remember how large moonglow pears are but I think that they are one of the better ones to have.
Fertilize with something like 5-10-15 or 6-12-12. The middle number is for flower production, the more flowers, the more fruit. Fertilize at least in spring and fall.
Good luck!

They'll be digging at the roots too after it's been felled, they'll need feeding up after, which do you think would be better, or shall i do both?
A big lasagne with jacket potatoes and garlic bread and salad. Or a big pot of chicken curry and pilau rice, naan breads and bhajees and samosa's? They'll eat anything!

Reply:With all that curry and all those men be sure to open the windows if you serve it! I'd go with the lasagne :-)

Why does guitars have to be in pear shapes?
Electric or acoustic, its still a shape of a pear. Just wondering why not square, round or something?
Why does guitars have to be in pear shapes?
The "pear" shape is for comfort, I believe, especially if you play while sitting down. There are many shapes for guitars. A Flying "V", for example. Gene Simmons (of KISS) has played a bass shaped like a huge axe. The Misfits, if I remember correctly, had guitars shaped like coffins (rectangular). Most conventional guitars are "pear" shaped because they're just more comfortable to play.
Reply:It sits better on your knee.
Reply:i guess it's like that so you put it on your knee and play. some rock groups from the 80s had some different looking guitars, but that didn't hold. much like their hair style

I doubt it as they would probably freeze. I have not been to Canada.
