Do pear trees come into blossom in May? And does anyone know what it looks like?

Bradford pear? They blossom early spring- mid- to late April mostly. The have small white flowers all over that are highly fragrant. They look beautiful like someone dropped s puffy snow all over them. They make a lovely shade tree, although mostly grow upright, as well as ornamental tree.

I have a pear tree in my neighborhood and I don't know what type yours is but mine is a Bartlett and the blooms are just coming in. but it could be different were you live because here in Oregon everything is a bit early because its so mild and rainy this and last month
Reply:Here in Maryland we have these Bradford pear trees, which look more like a little kid's lollipop tree drawing than any other tree I have seen. But I think they bloom in April.
Reply:They have white blossoms with a strong musky perfume. They blossom in summer I think in Australia, as the fruit comes in in Autumn/winter.
Reply:I think it probably depends on your location. My neighbors pear trees bloomed last month.
