How do i ripen a supermarket pear?
put in the oven at a temperature of 150 C for 3 minutes...
Reply:Place pears on a shelf in the kitchen. Should ripen up in a few days to a week at most.

Why bother? Just buy a can of pears.
Reply:Axel got there before me! Put it next to a banana, it really works
Reply:put it in a brown paper bag. Or put it next to some bananas if you have some at home. the gas from the bananas helps ripen it faster.
Reply:Put it on the window still between to bananas and it will ripen very quickly
Reply:Put it near a ripened banana - guaranteed to ripen any fruit! Something to do with the gasses they give off. Me, I just have to wait, allergic to bananas! And pears.
Reply:Place in a brown paper bag and leave somewhere warm like an

airing cupboard if you have one.
Reply:Leave it for a week and eat something else.
Reply:stick it in a brown bag and leave it on the counter for a few days.........

also works well for farmers market pears, corner fruit stand pears and back yard tree pears.

do not try with canned or frozen pear, though...........those are already ready already
Reply:sit on it for a few hours like a hen does with eggs

or put it on the window sill
Reply:put next to banana
Reply:JUST LEAVE IT FOR A FEW DAYS IT WILL THEN BE READY TO EAT.
Reply:Placing pears in a paper bag will help them ripen faster. Be sure to check them daily so they don't get overripe. You can also leave them out in a fruit bowl and enjoy their beauty as they ripen. Add apples or bananas to speed up the process. Place ripe pears in the refrigerator to slow further ripening.
