A hyoi pear is a type of bait sold at the floating bait shops. It allows you to control seagulls so you can hit switches you normally wouldn't be able to get to.



Yes, you have to get them to beat the game. If I remember correctly, two of the Triforce Charts require you to control seagulls to hit crystal switches. Since there are hostile birds in the area, I suggest you buy spares unless you are a really good shot with the bow.
