What should i do with my pear?

i picked a load of pears off my tree and i found these black spots on them and when i cut it in half some of it was brown. What is this and is it safe to eat it f i just cut the brown stuff out
What should i do with my pear?
If the spots are hard it is probablly an infection called Bitter Pit.

It only affects the skin and just under but can cause deeper rot. Shouldn't do you any harm if it is cut off. More unsightly than anything else. I think it is a Fungal infection. The wet summer will have encouraged it.

Reply:if you havent pruned it each year and check for insects such as ahrids etc spray some special insecticide that kills the insects but will not affect your fruits
