Reply:A pear costs 10 cents. Each fruit costs 5 cents for every vowel in its name.

peach -- e + a = 2 x 5 = 10 cents

banana -- a + a + a = 3 x 5 = 15 cents

grapefruit -- a + e + u + i = 4 x 5 = 20 cents

pear -- e + a = 2 x 5 = 10 cents
Reply:5c
Reply:yea the person before me is right
Reply:10 cents - each vowel is worth 5 cents

pEAch = 2 vowels = 10c

bAnAnA = 3 vowels x 5c = 15c

grApEfrUIt = 4 vowels x 5c = 20c

So a pEAr has 2 vowels = 10c
