I live in Tenerife are these cacti dangerous??? Will the pain go away?

You just need a little hair of the dog that bit you.

The sap from the pads from this cactus can be used in first aid similar to the aloe vera plant. Simply cut off a portion of a pad, crush it, and squeeze the juice onto a cut, burn, or bruise. The sap will soothe the wound.

If you don't have it around you, and cannot get any, use ice and just make sure all the spines are out of your skin. It is not toxic though.
Reply:You may be having an allergic reaction...I'de call a doctor right away as this has happened in only an hour!!
Reply:we have them all over here and the dogs and goats are forever jumping in them with no ill effects except the occasional sore spot

I've also gotten the spines in my hand but I never had a bad reaction or anything either, I don't think they are poisonous just make sure you get all the spines out so it doesnt get infected
Reply:if it is that bad, go to the hospital.
