Fermented pear drink?

I am looking to buy or produce a drink made from fermented pears. Any suggestions as to what is available that is alcoholic and made from aged pears, (not just flavored like pears.) Also accepting instructions of how to ferment pear juice to produce something like pear wine. I'm not a fan of beer, but I like Boones Farm beverages and wine coolers.

If you are in the US, any store with a large beer selection may have hard pear cider (and hard apple cider). Some are sweeter than others. If you can't find it in a store and your state's liquor laws permit it, you can search for "hard pear cider" and order on-line. Here are a couple links:
