I'm 5'9" 150 lbs which should be normal but I have a pear shaped body! My thighs, hips and butt make me look like a girl

that's an accurate picture of my body type except I'm thinner

should I just keep on dieting and cardio-ing and eventually I'll lose the fat and look more V-shaped? Any tips?
What can I do with a pear shaped body(male)?
Do lots of weight training. I'm 24 and when I was in my early teens and even before that, I had huge legs and a skinny upper body. My legs were very muscular. When I was 11-12 years old I could lift my dad up by kind of hugging his legs. At about 13-14 years old I had very muscular 22-23inch thighs and 12 inch upper arms and was about 155Ib, so I had a semi-pear figure. MEN ARE SUPPOSED TO BE MUSCULAR, NOT WEAK AND SKINNY. Now, my upper body is way bigger but my legs haven't really changed since I was age 14. My thighs are about 24-25In, chest, not sure but I can bench press 205Ib 3 sets of 10, and I have 15-15.5 inch arms. If you have muscular legs like mine, then I suggest that you lay off of the leg exercises, like leg pressing, leg curls, leg extentions and especially squatting and toe lifting. I hurt my back in the past because I was lifting the weight with my legs doing squating and toe lifting and I had weak back and stomach muscles, so I hurt my lower back when I was age15-16 and I can still feel it today. That's why I NEVER do leg pressing and toe lifting on the leg pressing machine because I did 900Ib on both exercises and I can't even come close to squatting even half of it. That's why I'm concentrating on backlifting (keeping back straight while going down and not bending and using legs).

Reply:hit the weight room
Reply:You could try weight lifting to broaden the shoulders/back. how old are you? maybe as you grow you will become less pear shaped?

on the bright side, abdominal fat is more associated with cardiac problems. the apple shaped guy is at greater risk for heart attacks.
Reply:do keep up with the exercises, but you could wear dark colours on your lower half and lighter ones on top that will help you look more balanced out.
Reply:hit the gym and eat less
Reply:In using weights--remember to build your "Lats."

This will build your upper "V" widen your back and define your upper body. It will take time and effort. But, the outcome will be a balanced look.

Try : Dips, Pull-downs, and Inclined Bench.
