How easy is it to grow an avocado pear?
It's easy to root a stone by suspending it 1cm above a container of waterand then plant it in a pot where it will make a small plant. It may even flower but I haven't seen one fruit in Europe.
Reply:The plant is easy to grow, I started one roughly 6 years ago, it is still doing well %26amp; is quite big and tree-like now but although it seems healthy %26amp; happy enough it has never shown any signs of growing a fruit. It may work in a greenhouse though.
Reply:Have to be pretty far South- zone 9 or better, 10 for them to do well in the ground. Easy to start, as per directions others have given.
