What kind of dress looks good on a pear body type?
I would say an A line or empire waist. They both cinch you right below the bust which is your narrowest point. Then they both flare out from there.

1. The v-shape will elongate the neck.

2. The black strip below the bust is in a spot that will accentuate the smallest part of your torso (very good).

3. The flowy skirt will fall nicely over your curves. It won't overly accentuate your hips or anything.

4. Halters are nice for people who have smaller shoulders.

if you go for prints, don't go for great big huge ones; they'll just draw attention to your shape. i would forgo prints altogether and maybe have colorful detailing instead.
Reply:Black, no A-line with a lycra fit to it will draw lines that are thin and straight and take attention away from your curves.
