it depends how pear-shaped you are. are you ample on the bottom, or just larger than you are on top? pear-shaped bodies generally look good in dresses that accentuate the waist and above. however, if you think you're very bottom-heavy, probably not.



but just go to a store w/ high-waisted skirts, grab one and a white blouse, lock yourself in a fitting room, and see how you like it.
Reply:yeah because white makes you look larger and black makes you look thinner, so the white on top will make your bust larger so it is not out or proportion with your hips, whilst the black makes your hips look smaller (because it is a slimming colour) you can't lose with this one :). Reply:Okay I love this question why because I'm pear shaped and I just bought a high waist dress and it looks amazing!! Atleast that's what everyone has told me. It accentuates your round bottom and well attracts plenty of attention there. I guess it works if you like your bottom. If you're not so fond of your assets...stay away. Otherwise go mini J'lo!!!

Reply:Absolutely assuming I know what a pear-shaped body is. Is it like coca-cola bottle or an hour-glass with a narrow top? If so yes. The high waist accentuates your hips area. Now is the dress is form-fitting or with a full skirt? Form-fitting is best with your shape.
