i heard an old wives tale saying that since this particular cut of diamond is shaped like a teardrop it has brought a lot of women so much sorrow and tears that one shouldn't buy this type of diamond. is there any truth to this?
Is it true that it's not advisable to buy pear shaped diamonds since it is shaped like tears = sorrow?

if you knock on wood and don't walk under ladders, or step on cracks then i guess you shouldn't buy pear shaped diamonds too.
