Do skinny jeans look good with women with hourglass/pear figures?

If they don't, then what style should I try to get the closest look? What colors should I wear? Dark Wash?

I have a large butt and I wear size 7/8-9/10 in jeans. (It depends what cut and style they are. I usually have to get them hemmed.) 35-27-37

Skinny jeans on an hourglass figure look like flares. And flares are out. Very out.

Instead go with a straight leg jean trouser in very dark denim. A crease down the center of each leg will give a crisp, slim look. A good wide leg may also give a good straight leg look on curves.

btw, Why go for skinny jeans anyway? They're for super skinny women. Boring! Curves are fabulous, celebrate them.
Reply:noo. Skinny jeans fit very tightly and will make your hips look even bigger because skinny jeans taper in sooo much. Dark wash jeans will make you look slimmer, and a straight leg jean will fit you better.
Reply:Go for a dark wash that will camoflauge the hips and butt and make you look lean and tall. if you are getting them altered have to reach to about an inch below your ankles. if they are too long they will make you look short and frumpy.
Reply:i'd go for a straight leg instead of skinny. dark washes tend to make legs look slimmer as well.
Reply:35-27-37 is not really pear shaped - in fact the proportions are perfect for size 8 or 10 [ pear shaped means bottom is at least a size larger than top ].

You could probably wear a pair of skinny jeans, as long as you are average height or taller. Pears should NOT wear tapered legs, though.

Also try - straight legs, and flare legs in fitted sizes.
Reply:i think you'd look fine in skinny jeans. dark washes are always more flattering than light, so if you feel the need go for dark. also flowing shirts that hit right below the hips excentuate and flater your butt the most.
Reply:dark wash, straight leg. skinny jeans make your top half look larger.
