YES THEY DO---EVEN EATING A PEAR SOMETIMES THE SAME-----I TALKED WITH A PERSON FROM CHINA WHO SAID THEY CHEW THEM TO CLEAN THEIR TEETH AND THEN SPIT OUT THE REMAINS----HE SAID DO NOT SWALLOW PEARS THEY ARE HARD ON YOUR KIDNEYS.....
Reply:They don't make me cough, maybe the roughness of them irritates your throat? Does it happen with other rough sweeties?
