How do you eat catus pear?

my mom bought some home without the needles on them, but there are so many seed in them, making it impossible to eat anything
How do you eat catus pear?
you cut off both ends, slice through just the skin ,peel that off, slice it eat it seeds and all. Good with chili and lemon, don't eat too many though you'll get "plugged up" if you know what I mean
