Does a Cleveland Pear tree flower before the leaves come?

I planted a Cleveland Pear tree last Fall and now (May) the leaves are just starting to pop open. Will it still bloom? If not, how old does the tree have to be before it blooms? I was hoping to see the blossoms this Spring. Thanks for any answers anyone can give!

if it's leafing out, it's too late for blooms to appear! they appear during early spring, but if ur like most people that got hit by the last big freeze we had then u'll have to wait till next spring to see ne blooms! sorry, but the freeze probably killed all the blooms just as they were appearing. i got one this year and was able to see it bloom for a lil bit b-4 "it" hit and i have to say that it's worth the wait. sorry
Reply:Yes. If you are in the south the late freeze may have zapped the blooms for this year, but the tree should still be fine.
