I am in a fashion rut. I wear a 14-16 and am pear shaped. Does anyone have any tips for stylish dressing?

Actually the faded look for jeans brings attration to the area that is faded, its hard to find pants that are not faded, but if you dont want to attract attention to that area go with a really dark blue jean and it slims and is very stylish, skirts are a nice alrternative to but just below the knee and not one that poofs out just straight!
Reply:I would try shopping at Lane Bryant. They have great clothes. Everything from cute to sexy. Also, for a more contemorary look try C.J. Banks. Another way to help you look your best is to make sure you are wearing the appropriate under garments.
Reply:What kind of rut are you in? I wear a lot of in-bra camisole tops in maternity sizes, so that they hang over my belly. I had twins last August and hips run in my family too. Anyway, I know what it is like to have a 14-16. The best way to hide hips is to appear taller. You can do this with clothing layers, longer shirts, long jackets or taller shoes under flat falling pants. The more tailored (gathered) at the hip, the bigger your hips will look. Look for some relaxed fit or bootleg type pants in middle waist, like at your belly button. High-waisted pants will emphasize the width of your hips. Also, pinstriped pants will help add length. I hope this helps.
Reply:get the pants that fit exactly right to show off u're curves. ;) and have fun, whatever your style is, with the shirts!!!!
Reply:are you kidding me? i am slightly pear shaped and hourglass (i have a big butt) and i LIVE in form fitting clothes. show it off honey, show it off!
Reply:try wearing baggy shirts that are fabulously beautyful
