I am wanting to graft a pear tree, can you tell me the best donor tree to use please?

I just googled for " graft pear tree" and it came up with this lot.
I am wanting to graft a pear tree, can you tell me the best donor tree to use please?
I'd just pick whatever type of pear I liked best for the donor tree. If you do the graft properly, on strong rootstock it would produce your favorite pear.
Reply:Fruit trees should be grafted using the "chip budding" method and you can use any of these Crataegus,Laburnum,Magnolia,Malus,Prunus...
