Stephen Hawkins the handicap great physist showed Time as being pear shaped ,is it true?

I has had many statements by science virtuosos saying TIME is shapeless= who is right?

A brief explanation of time =by Stephen Hawkins.

It was brief but also curved?
Stephen Hawkins the handicap great physist showed Time as being pear shaped ,is it true?
so, if time is a banana or bacon, how does it stand still? it must be an animal.....but if you say the animal is pig, then bacon still stands....

was stephen hawkins vegetarian, or did he hate animals to think that animals had no time?
Reply:A theory is only that. Just a theory. His opinion. Report It
Reply:Hawking is a smart man but his material is largely speculation and conjecture. His theories have opposition from other physicists.

Remember, Einstein was opposed by Bohr. Good science will withstand the rigors of scrutiny.
Reply:I think you misunderstand Hawking's book title. His explanation was supposed to be brief, not time itself.

I do not think Hawking said anything about time being shaped in any shape at all. I think if there is some geometry or topology associated with time, no one knows it. It has been conjectured that time is discrete, for example, but we have no substantive proof.

I prefer the following:

"Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana".
Reply:Dude, everyone knows time is shaped like a kumquat.
Reply:Newton believed that time worked like an arrow. It moved in one direction only. One second on Mars was one second on Earth. Einstien revolutionized the idea and showed us that time was fluid, moving in one direction but more like a river where different places moved at different speeds.

Godel examined Einstiens equations and proved (using them) that time travel was possible in this framework. This disturbed Einstien so he worked out that if the universe was expanding (instead of revolving) that time travel would once again be impossible.

Roy Kerr made some more advances and showed us that time works funny if you go near a spinning black hole or singularity. This is where the idea of wormholes comes from. Quantum theory then comes in and gives us the idea of parallel universes and reinstates our "time is like a river" idea.

Hawking combines these ideas that all parallel universes started from the same point: the big bang. They then expanded outwards in the river becoming wider and wider until eventually the universe collapses in on itself and reuintes all of the universes. The shape that this takes looks rather pear like.

I hope this helps :-)
Reply:no, no, no...time is shaped like bacon...mmmm, bacon
Reply:No, trust me it's banana shaped.
Reply:Actually nobody knows anything about time. It's just their perceptions about time. As you know, nobody has seen electron, but they dare to give lectures on electron and its theories. All is belief. Some do believe it, some not.
