We have fruitless Bradford Pear trees. One isn't looking very good.?

What is causing the leaves to turn yellow on the tree? The leaves look burnt or dead on the tips. They get plenty of water and our other Bradford Pear tree looks just fine. What is this condition and how do I treat it?

without seeing a picture sounds like it got frost burn, Im from Kentucky and we got a big frost about mid april after all the trees had leaved and am seeing the same thing. not much you can do. It may or may not come back. Try to remove as many of the bad leaves as you can. Its possible that the tree will eventually grow new leaves this year, but dont panic if it doesnt, It should next year. Theres a simple way to see if the branches with the bad leaves are still alive. simple take a knife and lightly scrap the bottom of one of the branches in a small area, if the branch shows a green skin and is moist and flexable its still alive, even though there is no leaves.

Also if you are paniced, trim off a small branch and take a picture and go to a garden center/nursery. they might give some advise for your area to help it along. GOOD LUCK
