Are you referring to Asian Pears?
Reply:Yes, there are two answers.

First there is an oriental hybrid of pears and apples and it is just delicious.

Second, it is possible to graft part of one fruit tree onto another so it is possible to graft part of a pear tree on an apple tree or vice versa to get two different fruits from one tree.
Reply:Through grafting you can create different varities of the same fruit on one tree and since a pear is pretty close to an apple I cant see why it hasnt been done by now.
Reply:you can splice one onto another

I have seen a tree with 4 varieties of apple on
Reply:YES, THEY ARE GRAFTED.
Reply:Asian pears are sometimes called apple-pears or pear-apples because they have the juiciness of pears and the roundness and crispness of apples, however, they are not a hybrid of the two, but a true pear.
Reply:all those people r crazy.... but yes its true pear/apple

if interested type in gownes farm in boonville. cal. i think some crackhead redneck started it
Reply:Yes, they are hybrids with grafts of each type attached to one tree.
Reply:OH YES and the fruits are super
Reply:Fuji apple? Cross apple-pear.
